Ballasted Rollers
Grays range of Ballast Rollers is probably the most comprehensive on sale in Britain - including 40 dofferent single rolls and gang sets from 4ft to 20ft rolling widths. All Grays standard models are supplied for water ballast.
 
20 and 30" Diameter Rolls
Grays 20" diameter general purpose rolls, ideal for lighter seedbed rolling and for sports fields, are manufactured in widths from 4ft to 9ft (1.22m to 2.47m).


The cylinders are of ¼" (6mm) thick plate and apply rolling weights from 90lbs/foot width (135kg/metre) when empty to 230lbs/ foot width (340kg/mettre) when fully ballasted. A parking stand is fitted as standard.

Grays 30" (760mm) diameter 'Stonepress' grassland rollers are the most popular in the range, manufactured at rolling widths from 8 to 12ft (2.44m to 3.66m) with cylinders of either 5/16" or 3/8" (8mm or 10mm) thick steel plate. These rollers can apply rolling weights from 203lbs/ft width (92kg/m) when empty to over 500lbs/ft weight (750kg/m) width when fully ballasted. Adjustable scrapers and a towbar parking stand are fitted as standard.

 
39" and 48" Diameter Rolls
Grays 39" (1.0m) diameter rollers are some 45% heavier than their 30 inch cousins and are designed to level even large flat surface stones, they are made of rolling widths of 8ft to 12ft (2.44m to 3.66m)

The mighty Grays 48" (1.2m) diameter rollers, designed to produce extremely high rolling weights, can be ballasted up to in excess of 5 tons.
This model is available at rolling widths of 8ft and 10ft (2.44m and 3.05m). Both the 39" and 48" rolls are manufactured with cylinders of 3/8" (10mm) thick steel plate. Roliing weights can be varied up to the fully ballasted maximum of 114lbs/ft (1700kg/m) width. Towbar parking stand and adjustable scrapers are standard.
 
3-POINT Linkage Rolls
All Grays 20" (500mm) diameter rollers can be ordered with three point linkage fittings as an alternative to the standard towbar system, or to special order with towbar and 3-point linkage fittings.
COMPACT TRACTOR MODELS
For the fast expanding compact tractor market, Grays 20" (500mm) diameter rollers are available at 4ft, 5ft or 6ft (1.22m, 1.52m and 1.83m) widths for compact tractors with towbar or category one 3-point linkage fittings.
TRIPLE GANG SETS
Grays 20" (500mm) diameter rollers can be built up into Triple Gang Sets in any combinatiion of the single roller widths. The standard sets are 16 and 1ft wide. The 30" (750mm) models are produced up to 20ft as standard. wider gang sets at either diameter can be made to special order.
   
TANDEM SET LEAD ROLL
Grays Lead Rollers with the Tandem Drawbar kit are an ideal method of achieving a wider rolling width with ease of conversion for transport. Conversion is achieved by turning one way then the other and changing two pins. Ideally an existing roller of the same size can be used to complete the Tandem pair.
The Rollers are available in 8ft and 10ft widths with 5/15" (8mm) and 3/8" (10mm) thick cylinders for the 30" diameter. also available in 39" with 3/8" (10mm) cylinders.

The overall width of the roller od 11'4" for the 10' Roller and 9'4" for the 8' Roller
 
HYDRAULIC FOLDING SET
In addition to the traditional Triple Gang Sets, Grays also offer an Hydraulic Folding option for the following two sizes in cylinder thicknesses of 5/16" (8mm) and 3/8" (10mm).

16' Gang Set with 8" Lead Roller and 2x4' Wings. Overall width folded 10'7" (3.23m).
20' Gang Set with 10' Lead Roller and 2 x 5' Wings. Overall width folded 12'7" (3.84m)

Grassland Rollers
Grays 30" (760mm) daimeter " Heavy" grassland roller are a new edition to the Grays roller range.

Manufactured at rolling widths 6 to 12ft with cyclinders of 20mm. These rollers can apply weight from 1800kg empty to over 4000kg when fully ballasted. Adjustable scrapers and a towbar parking stand are fitted as standard.

"St Andrews" End Tow Roller
This latest addition to the Grays Roller range is ideal for transportation down narrow country lanes and hedgerows, at only 5'0" wide transport width thus saving any problems with obstruction on the road.
The 30" diameter roller comes in 2 sized, 8'0" and 10' 0" wide standard with 10mm thick cylinders and a 3" shaft for extra support. The wheels are raised and lowered hydraulically for fast and efficient connection between road and field work.

The roller is supplied with road lights and indicators as standard.

Road Runner  

This Roller is ideal for the farmer with several farms at various locations.The roller is standard at 9'0" wide with a rolling width of 10". an 8'0" model is also available with a rolling wifth of 9'0"

The cylinders are 10mm thick and each roller has a 3" shaft for extra support.
The drawbar is fixed for both field and road work, the wheels are 600 d 90 x 10 and are raised and lowered hydraulically for fast and effective connection between road work and field work
